Transparency Is Everything- Here is What You Should Know

We have a STRICT 5mph speed limit

Relax, you’re here. No reason to drive fast. We have kids running around, dogs running around, and no one likes a dust bath when they’re walking or sitting outside of their camper.

We charge $10/day per person to fish in our lakes

You do not need a Colorado fishing license to fish in either of our two private lakes. We stock them both very well, and therefore have to charge only for a day pass. We believe this will make it easier for people who don’t want to buy a Colorado fishing license. In the first lake, we have a 4 fish limit per day, in which you have to keep what you catch. The second lake is fly fishing only, catch and release only.

We do not allow watercraft or swimming in our lakes

Lake San Crystabol is only 5 miles away, and is an amazing lake for all of the above.

We have 24/7 laundry, restroom, and shower facilities

While staying here, you will have access to 24/7 laundry, restroom, and shower facilities. Showers are only for our guests. We do not sell showers.

Trailers can not be parked at your site

Trailers separate from the one you are staying in must be parked up by the lodge. There is not enough room at any site for you to keep your trailer with you. Any trailer over 18’ must be kept at the ATV staging area, 3 miles down the road, for the duration of your stay.

We do not allow any ATVs to be ridden around the park

We love and welcome all sorts of ATVs/motorcycles, but we kindly ask that you do not ride them around the park for any reason (fishing, laundry, etc.). The Alpine Loop and countless other trails are right out our drive way. Go explore! You are of course welcome to ride them from your site, out to the trails, and from the trails, back to your site.

Not all sites have fire pits

Not all of our sites have fire pits, although for those that don’t (services—>sites/cabins) we encourage bringing a gas or propane pit of your own. All guests also have access to the community fire pit. We ask that you do not make a fire pit in a site that does not have one and do not move fire pits if they are already there.

Wildlife is very present in the area

Animals of all sorts including moose, bears, chipmunks, etc., are seen in and around the campground frequently. We ask that you please keep food, garbage, full coolers, and empty coolers locked up when you aren't at your site.

We sell basic groceries in the Lodge

On top of gifts, souveneirs, clothes, and snacks, we also sell some basic groceries such as milk, bread, eggs, etc.

Your two night deposit is non-refundable

To guarantee your reservation, we ask for a two night non-refundable deposit. There are no exceptions to this.
